Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival
With preparations well into the planning for Stanthorpe's famous Festival, the organizers are appealing to the community to get into the celebratory swing of things.
The 2006 Festival will be a “Ruby” celebration:the Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival will be forty years old.
To help celebrate, the Festival is inviting all past Presidents and Directors, Queens, Young Ambassadors, performers, helpers to come along and join in the party, meet old friends, make new friends and have a good time in the process. Get together, dress in the theme, or your past glory. Maybe don your ruby slippers and shawl. Have a drink, of red wine or white, chat about the old times and celebrate future successes.
There will be more news on this closer to the Festival. In the meantime, if you have something that you would like to be reintroduced and are willing to help, please contact the Festival Office.
The Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival is a three-day celebration held in the Queensland wine capital. For information on the 3 - 5 March 2006 event see http://www.appleandgrape.org or call +61 7 4681 4111.
